Etro Anime
is one of the most innovative and fresh explosive acts to rise from
New York City in many, many years.
The root of the band’s sophisticated sounds take elements of Soulful
Soothing Grooves, Phat Beats, Trip-Hop, and Powerful Drum and Bass
topped off with a cherry beauty’s trance like vocals.
The sensual musical vocals are full of blissful sexual tones and
are the perfect antidote to Dave
Fisher's razor sharp beats.
Ted Birkey, on keyboards,
is a driving force behind Etro's evolving and unique sound. A member
of the Bass Collective in his native Chicago, Tom
Welsch cuts a dash, weaving his funky
basslines intricately through the rest of the band's uplifting melodies
and rhythms.
He cites his influences as anything groovy with just the right bump
and grind and grind he well might. Dynamite Drummer Shambo
Pfaff provides the rock steady backbone incorporating all
elements of Trip-Hop’s Groovy Beats and live Drum and Bass in his
bang.
In all, this amazing five will force you to realize Manhattan is
still a thriving Mecca of musicians that are making a successful
impact in the music industry throughout the world.
